yesterday's moments
Yesterday is like so many other days ,things we all do them typical days. MY DAY started with shopping, oil change to the car, picking up meds. for Mom. My neighbor had a Birthday, saw the love in a mothers eyes when she looked at her baby, held the door open for a old man a lot of moments that brought great joy.
There was a funeral, a child i love now has a black eye, was sent a email about a suicide, and some one with cancer. Moments of sorrow and loss and moment of great joy, yesterday would have been my fathers 81 birthday, and like his life so the day went. What will today bring!

MONDAYS POEM #5 posted on wednesday
There
Always
Arrives
In all of Our lives
A joyousMoment of
Sweet silence
Which notifies
It is time to blend
Into the vast horizon
Of the palette painting a days end
And there we find again our gentle loving eyes
Waiting as these divine peaceful skies
Of the eternal sunrise that is just
Around the bend
no need to guess this week; title and author, Time To Blend by Silent Lotus.

My little corner
It has been 2 1/2 years, that we have lived here and i am still not done hanging and putting everything up. So woman make honey do lists not me i ask, and if it doesn't happen i will try it my self or a will what. I wasn't in a rush because we have moved every time i get thing just the why i like them so this time i have been very slow to put the house all together.

my little corner has memories, grandma's chair that sat in her home next to the window, my grandpa's table he got out of the trash and repaired. Items from Brazil that were a gift to my late husband and myself from Albie. He was an exchange student that lived at his home when he was a young man. And i find my self longing to take a trip when i look at this pic he had taken when he visited there, and a pair of antique binoculars everything in this corner has memories.
A fountain i came home to after visting the kids for my last anniversary, some plants the one in the red dish for Tom and Helen who both past on last year, the little church Hubby got me as a gift. They my be thing to some but they are memories to me each plant, items etc; i find peace in this corner i set and read sometimes so adding the items to the wall on the top pic, it is feeling a little more like home. what is you special space or corner that you go to just be?

POEMS MONDAY #4
IT IS A LONG ONE: I HOPE YOU ENJOY IT AS MUCH AS I DID:
Three Kings came riding from far away,
Melchior and Gaspar and Baltasar;
Three Wise Men out of the East were they,
And they traveled by night and they slept by day,
For their guide was a beautiful, wonderful star.
The star was so beautiful, large and clear,
That all the other stars of the sky
Became a white mist in the atmosphere;
And by this they knew that the coming was near
Of the Prince foretold in the prophecy.
Three caskets they bore on their saddle-bows,
Three caskets of gold with golden keys;
Their robes were of crimson silk,with rows
Of bells and pomegranates and furbelows,
Their turbans like blossoming almond-trees.
And so the Three Kings rode into the West,
Through the dusk of night over hill and dell,
And sometimes they nodded with beard on breast,
And sometimes talked, as they paused to rest,
With the people they met at some wayside well.
"Of the child that is born," said Baltasar,"
Good people,I pray you, tell us the news;
For we in the East have seen his star,
And have ridden fast, and have ridden far,
To find and worship the King of the Jews."
And the people answered, "You ask in vain;
We know of no king but Herod the Great!"
They thought the Wise Men were men insane,
As they spurred their horses across the plain
Like riders in haste who cannot wait.
And when they came to Jerusalem,
Herod the Great, who had heard this thing,
Sent for the Wise Men and questioned them;
And said, "Go down unto Bethlehem,
And bring me tidings of this new king."
So they rode away, and the star stood still,
The only one in the gray of morn;
Yes, it stopped, it stood still of its own free will,
Right over Bethlehem on the hill,
The city of David where Christ was born.
And the Three Kings rode through the gate and the
guard,
Through the silent street, till their horses turned
And neighed as they entered the great inn-yard;
But the windows were closed, and the doors were
barred,
And only a light in the stable burned.
And cradled there in the scented hay,
In the air made sweet by the breath of kine,
The little child in the manger lay,
The Child that would be King one dayOf a kingdom not human, but divine.
His mother, Mary of Nazareth,
Sat watching beside his place of rest,
Watching the even flow of his breath,
For the joy of life and the terror of death
Were mingled together in her breast.
They laid their offerings at his feet:
The gold was their tribute to a King;
The frankincense, with its odor sweet,
Was for the Priest, the Paraclete;
The myrrh for the body's burying.
And the mother wondered and bowed her head,
And sat as still as a statue of stone;
Her heart was troubled yet comforted,
Remembering what the angel had said
Of an endless reign and of David's throne.
Then the Kings rode out of the city gate,
With a clatter of hoofs in proud array;
But they went not back to Herod the Great,
For they knew his malice and feared his hate,
And returned to their homes by another way.

Saturdays hopes
Was felling better so i was able to pick up my CASA kid and off we went on a new adventure. Today's morning was prep work, we will be traveling back in time next week. more pic's to follow it will be my first year so i am excited. My CASA and i are going to be in the village of Bethlehem. The Bethlehem Experience. my hope is that it will get people thinging on the gift of the birth of Christ. Go to http://www.gotobethlehem.com/ and check it out.
some came from a fair to help, and are not members of this chruch, yet they gave up there day to help set up. It was great every one pitching in and working together young and old it was a fun day. Then off to the birthday party at the park, can you remember your 18th?
i am sure this will be a birthday she will remember for ever. the kids BBQ'ed calif style, friends came but had to cut it short at 4:30 she had to work, i can remember working on my 18th. Was working in a convalescent home form the age of 15 1/2, with the elderly the ones with no family or family that is unable to care. Now i find myself in my late 40's working with foster kids the ones with no family or ones that are unable to care for waht ever reason. i have recieved blessing in both to see these young one with hope, and the lesson i learn for the old.
How thankful i find myself to have work with the forgotten one of our time in America. One of my favorite memories is a little old lady that was a Sunday school teacher she would sing Jesus love me, over and over all day. Some found that trying on there ears but for me i looked forward to seeing and singing with her each day she was a little ray of sun shine, in all the sadness. I find my self once again looking for the lessons and blessings, the more i look the more i see. We are a strong nation, and i love that there are thoughs out there helping all over the world. Yet were will we be if we as a stong nation fall our children and fall our elderly i think about what do other country see in us. What is your thoughs? Talk soon s.

WHO's JOB IS IT TO ANYWAYS
A little history i think my very first job was to clean, one of the gifts we recieved was no allowances for just being a kid. The first time i can remember someone cleaning my home
was being married to #2. The nicest 3 lady's i also remember the day they said they couldn't clean any more. Ah then i have paid many a young lady in my time to come and help me clean.
here in so calif., you have to come up with your own FLAKES at this time of year so sad no snow. I flaked having a fever and all, i didn't want to get her sick. So for now my home will have to wait, hoping to get every thing together before Christmas.
I have a lot of Hopes and dreams they all rest in God. I am blessed there are thous out there to help me clean when the time comes again. There is a time for every thing, that brings me peace. Who's job is it to clean in your house and what gift can your remember form your youth that has molded you?

BENNIE'S
one of the thing i love about my #2 bro is he is not proud he will dumpster dive and i get the Bennie's! For this one all i have to do is put the cream in an old face cream jar and walla i am get to go for another couple of months.
over and over i use that glass jar of chanel it's just the right size! I am always up for the free bees that #2 bro. gets, or the marked off items form his work really cheap. He has picked me up wine at a buck or 2, .50 cents for a bag candy or cookies. The last dumpster treasure was costume jewelry, i think the all time favorite was the surprise. Ring ring, now my husbands was away form home on a work trip," i have a surprise if you can come over and help me". Me what? #2 just come over, OK i get there and it is a fire pit 4 chairs cushions and all, we just had to do a mosaic because one of the end had broke, so in two days with the left over tiles for the kitchen remodel we had a master piece.
Do you have any one in your life that is a dumpster diver! or can get thing so cheap with i little imagination, you have a master piece. i love you Danny thanks for loving me and my hubby so much your the best. talk soon. s.

FREE RANGE MIND AND THE CHICKENS
Welcome to the free range of my mind ! as i wonder from though to though i hope you enjoy my journey !
30 more day's in till Christmas i now i now what does Christmas have to do with chickens this is one of the gifts i will be giving this year! if your on my list i hope you enjoy the gift that keep on giving so with no further a due: meet my inspiration Thelma and Luise: these are my brothers chickens, my other brothers girl friend named them they replaced the two my mom had for many year:
Mom lived on a small farm before moving to Calif., at the age of 11yrs. Before settling in the Subaru's of the valley in her present home for the past 48 years. Most people did not have chickens in the Subaru's, that is country style living but Mom did, she did what she could to take care of use kids. Anyways one of her chickens laid green egg and the other brown one was from South America and the other was a Road Island Red. I had named them after patents i had taken care of in a Convalescent Home, Henrietta and Gertrude , they worked in vaudeville, the lady's not the chickens, what sweeties old birds. I had started working there when i was 15 1/2, there are many story's from that time in my life, some good, some that made me tougher then i was already. Some day ask me about Phebe my heart still cry for her, i am just now able to pray for that girl that i work with. They say when you get old and by no means am there yet, they are the Golden Years. I think that the years of youth are the Golden Years, they are the most precious years. I can't ( but i must) wait to see the g-kids, face to face again to hold them in my arms to hug them and to kiss there sweet cheeks. Which reminds me of other birds of my past, sweet cheeks, jenny, honey, and lovey, Bill would let them fly all over the house and then coach them back to there cages. then we have Don's bird, from the boy across the street. Pecker died this last year she was not a lady's lady she only liked men. How she got her name well some would say that story is for the birds. But i say Don was able to calm her, she would sign for him, i am like that bird Don has been able to clam me and bring a sence of comfort to my life. ly honey. talk soon s.

LAST WEEK WE HAD ONLY ONE RESONCE THANK YOU AMY FOR STOPING BY LAST WEEK : so this week i will give you a hint; this one was writen by someone i know personal and is in a book he wrote. Enjoy!
The cable car carries me to the top of the mountain,
The sunlight of autumn caresses my head.
Vast clouds and mists fill the sky,
The Capital has disappeared,
only the sun shines!
The Fragrant Hills are radiant;
Autumn leaves, red as fire,
Have spread their sweet scent far and near.
The chillness of fall has already come;
Were i never again to see their rich color,
My heart would break!

Blessings
Good morning i was up and . out of the house by 7:15 drove one hr 40 min. for a board meeting then meet with a friend who does stain glass for a project he is doing for me,then 1hr and 40 home, it's now 2:00. This drive brings back memories of so much see i have been doing this drive for some 20 years. I've been married 11 years, known my husband now for almost 14, so some of the memories are from before i new my husband, they are what God has used to mold me. Well i came home to my honey waiting for me and (lunch) it is funny how simple things make me happy. See he started to feed me when we first met. with that first note on my office door, i was a 92Lbs ball of nerve's, it was just before Easter having been through a very ruff time. Bill had past away 6months before, i had fallen down some stairs, and i had people calling me daily to pay the bills. At the ripe old age of 33 i found my self in probate had been told by the attorney not to pay the bills in till we were able to figure out what every thing was worth. There was a 5Th on the house. The year before was the 94 earth quick, I had signed on 2 SBA loans for the business that my name wasn't on it that was stupid, thing were a real mess. It wasn't in till a month after Bill died that i had found out that he had lift me some live insurance. The business check book had a -10,000 + and the personal one not much better. i was a walking ball of nerves hence down to 92 lbs. . The Pro-Bo no attorney had to find me a liquidator most of the inventory was out dated all for another story, this post is to count my blessing. One of the blessings in that it all got donate it to a non profit, the supplies over filled a Semi-truck. This is just a little back round as to why i find the simple things to be thankful for. My hubby showing me how much he cares in simple ways, how much he loves me are my daily blessings. There was i time in my life that i wouldn't have seen that as a blessing, i wanted the fun the excitement of the night life and all that went with it. It is now the simplest things that i see like the morning corny poems when he calls me, when he complains about work yet he gets up every morning with out fall and goes. He is a great friend, husband, provider, son in law, etc i could go on and on how he has supported me and my loved ones in my life. So today is the day i say Thanks Honey i am thankful you love God, and that you love me. Thank You for all the extras you did this weekend. Thank You for taking care of me, so i don't have to work out side of the home, thank you for helping me with Ashlee, thank you working so hard so i can go see the kids, thank you thank you thank you. Now i am going to go iron you shirts. Ironing make me smile because it is a very small why i can say thank you. love you honey!
How do you show loved ones you love them in small ways! and what do you see as a blessing that others may not see? To all you peeps have a blessed day talk soon. s.
