FOOT PRINTS

This is the back story to a earlier post. Most people are familiar with the poem foot prints. One of my favorites, had it on my wall in the hallway of our home, it was there it remind me that (i) was never alone that we are never alone. Know that poem was given to someone once someone that is loved ever much and he was told to keep it. He didn't what it yet it was a gift not a choice he had a right to do with it as he wished. That was the day i thought i let Go and let God but in reality it was the day i started down a path of self destruction. The poem was given to my then husband words were spoken of how tired i was of careering him lets just say control issues.... What i didn't and am just know starting to understand is how much damage i was about to do to my self in the following days and years to come. And that is were we will start my story one that will weave in and out of time, past and present looking to the future with hope. The store of one Woman's life the joy that's in her Heart because she was loved first, while standing on HIS shoulder she has faith knowing she is loved.

yesterday's moments

Yesterday is like so many other days ,things we all do them typical days. MY DAY started with shopping, oil change to the car, picking up meds. for Mom. My neighbor had a Birthday, saw the love in a mothers eyes when she looked at her baby, held the door open for a old man a lot of moments that brought great joy.
There was a funeral, a child i love now has a black eye, was sent a email about a suicide, and some one with cancer. Moments of sorrow and loss and moment of great joy, yesterday would have been my fathers 81 birthday, and like his life so the day went. What will today bring!

MONDAYS POEM #5 posted on wednesday

There
Always
Arrives
In all of Our lives
A joyousMoment of
Sweet silence
Which notifies
It is time to blend
Into the vast horizon
Of the palette painting a days end
And there we find again our gentle loving eyes
Waiting as these divine peaceful skies
Of the eternal sunrise that is just
Around the bend

no need to guess this week; title and author, Time To Blend by Silent Lotus.

POEMS MONDAY #4

IT IS A LONG ONE: I HOPE YOU ENJOY IT AS MUCH AS I DID:

Three Kings came riding from far away,
Melchior and Gaspar and Baltasar;
Three Wise Men out of the East were they,
And they traveled by night and they slept by day,
For their guide was a beautiful, wonderful star.

The star was so beautiful, large and clear,
That all the other stars of the sky
Became a white mist in the atmosphere;
And by this they knew that the coming was near
Of the Prince foretold in the prophecy.

Three caskets they bore on their saddle-bows,
Three caskets of gold with golden keys;
Their robes were of crimson silk,with rows
Of bells and pomegranates and furbelows,
Their turbans like blossoming almond-trees.

And so the Three Kings rode into the West,
Through the dusk of night over hill and dell,
And sometimes they nodded with beard on breast,
And sometimes talked, as they paused to rest,
With the people they met at some wayside well.

"Of the child that is born," said Baltasar,"
Good people,I pray you, tell us the news;
For we in the East have seen his star,
And have ridden fast, and have ridden far,
To find and worship the King of the Jews."

And the people answered, "You ask in vain;
We know of no king but Herod the Great!"
They thought the Wise Men were men insane,
As they spurred their horses across the plain
Like riders in haste who cannot wait.

And when they came to Jerusalem,
Herod the Great, who had heard this thing,
Sent for the Wise Men and questioned them;
And said, "Go down unto Bethlehem,
And bring me tidings of this new king."

So they rode away, and the star stood still,
The only one in the gray of morn;
Yes, it stopped, it stood still of its own free will,
Right over Bethlehem on the hill,
The city of David where Christ was born.

And the Three Kings rode through the gate and the
guard,
Through the silent street, till their horses turned
And neighed as they entered the great inn-yard;
But the windows were closed, and the doors were
barred,
And only a light in the stable burned.

And cradled there in the scented hay,
In the air made sweet by the breath of kine,
The little child in the manger lay,
The Child that would be King one dayOf a kingdom not human, but divine.

His mother, Mary of Nazareth,
Sat watching beside his place of rest,
Watching the even flow of his breath,
For the joy of life and the terror of death
Were mingled together in her breast.

They laid their offerings at his feet:
The gold was their tribute to a King;
The frankincense, with its odor sweet,
Was for the Priest, the Paraclete;
The myrrh for the body's burying.

And the mother wondered and bowed her head,
And sat as still as a statue of stone;
Her heart was troubled yet comforted,
Remembering what the angel had said
Of an endless reign and of David's throne.

Then the Kings rode out of the city gate,
With a clatter of hoofs in proud array;
But they went not back to Herod the Great,
For they knew his malice and feared his hate,
And returned to their homes by another way.

ok i got this on off the internet: today night while watching The Naviity Story what a great night what did you do and can you find the name of this poems? Talk Soon! edited on 12/17/08 the name of the poem is the Three Wise Kings by Henry Wadsworth Longefellow i hope you enjoyed it. s

i am sure this will be a birthday she will remember for ever. the kids BBQ'ed calif style, friends came but had to cut it short at 4:30 she had to work, i can remember working on my 18th. Was working in a convalescent home form the age of 15 1/2, with the elderly the ones with no family or family that is unable to care. Now i find myself in my late 40's working with foster kids the ones with no family or ones that are unable to care for waht ever reason. i have recieved blessing in both to see these young one with hope, and the lesson i learn for the old.
How thankful i find myself to have work with the forgotten one of our time in America. One of my favorite memories is a little old lady that was a Sunday school teacher she would sing Jesus love me, over and over all day. Some found that trying on there ears but for me i looked forward to seeing and singing with her each day she was a little ray of sun shine, in all the sadness. I find my self once again looking for the lessons and blessings, the more i look the more i see. We are a strong nation, and i love that there are thoughs out there helping all over the world. Yet were will we be if we as a stong nation fall our children and fall our elderly i think about what do other country see in us. What is your thoughs? Talk soon s.

TITLE THIS POEM MONDAY

LAST WEEK WE HAD ONLY ONE RESONCE THANK YOU AMY FOR STOPING BY LAST WEEK : so this week i will give you a hint; this one was writen by someone i know personal and is in a book he wrote. Enjoy!

The cable car carries me to the top of the mountain,
The sunlight of autumn caresses my head.
Vast clouds and mists fill the sky,
The Capital has disappeared,
only the sun shines!

The Fragrant Hills are radiant;
Autumn leaves, red as fire,
Have spread their sweet scent far and near.
The chillness of fall has already come;
Were i never again to see their rich color,
My heart would break!

Can you tell me who wrote this, or the title? last weeks poems "Journey of the Magi"

FORGIVNESS

We all have a story to tell some of hope and joy, others of sorrow and pain. we are like the beauty of the sea we leave prints in the sand memories that we reflex on to others. The longer i live the more stores i will have to tell, we all have them store of joy, pain, hope, love friendships,
this one is of the past, of a time a young woman thought she was in love.
This one is a little window into my memories. The poem of foot prints we all now it even if you aren't a Church goer you have seen it, it was the last thing i gave him the last night i saw him. i asked him when he was 6 months sober and with out a woman in his life to call me. He was my best friend i had known him form the age of 2yrs.
I had a broken love meter you see my roll model was a alcoholic. At 16 i started to dated my first husband we dated for 8 year before we married. What i though was love on his part wasn't, he was just a messed up kid like me. And although we tried it didn't work, he also had a broken meter. Earlier this year i got a letter from him 20 year form the time we split. The divorce took close to two years i wouldn't file he had to i prayed but God had another plan. This post is one of forgiveness see he wrote to ask for forgiveness. What to do what to do so i prayed about it. then i called him and asked him to forgive me. I was wrong i put up with it, i was not strong and that didn't help him grow as a person. Now the details are not the point so i will leave them out all i can say is it wasn't pretty we were both working off of broken memories. To my surprise he did call my family a few day's later to say sorry to my mom, he told her he is still learning thing form me we hadn't spoke in 20 years. I now God was caring me that day on the phone, i am at peace with my past. I now look at foot prints in a new ways not so much pain but more joy. Prayers answered i will still pray for him but it is a new prayer and yet the same, i pray i see him in haven. i hope you find my reflection as of a new print, as i count my blessing. talk soon s.

reflections in progress

this is a blog of my thoughts, if you happen to stumble on to them walk softly, leave a message if you would like or not. I'm a blog observer so we may met again. talk soon :)
